Our Manufacturing Process

Every piece of joinery we produce is manufactured to order, ensuring it is tailored to your property, your requirements and the character of your building. From the first conversation through to installation, we follow a carefully managed process that allows us to maintain the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality.

Site Visit and Consultation

Every project begins with a discussion about your requirements. Where appropriate, we arrange a site visit to assess the property, understand the style of the building and discuss the best solution for your project. This is also an opportunity to identify any practical considerations, such as existing timber details, structural openings or access for installation.

Accurate Measuring

Precision is essential when manufacturing bespoke timber joinery. Every opening is carefully measured to ensure your new windows, doors or other joinery fit correctly. On heritage properties, we also record existing mouldings, glazing bar profiles and architectural details where these need to be replicated.

Technical Drawings and CAD Design

Once measurements have been completed, we prepare detailed technical drawings where required. This allows dimensions, construction details and design features to be checked before manufacturing begins, ensuring every product is built to your exact specification.

Timber Selection

Choosing the correct timber is one of the most important stages of the process. We carefully select hardwood or softwood depending on the project requirements, considering factors such as durability, appearance, stability and the environment in which the joinery will be used. All timber is sourced from responsibly managed forests.

Precision Manufacturing

Every component is manufactured in our Perranporth workshop using a combination of modern machinery and traditional woodworking techniques. Each piece is carefully machined, assembled and checked throughout production to ensure accuracy, strength and a high standard of finish.

Sanding and Finishing

Before leaving the workshop, each product is carefully prepared for finishing. Surfaces are sanded smooth, joints are inspected and any final adjustments are completed. Where specified, windows and doors receive high-quality factory-applied paint or stain systems designed to protect the timber while enhancing its appearance.

Delivery

Once manufacturing and quality checks are complete, your joinery is carefully packaged and prepared for delivery. Whether supplying a single bespoke front door or a complete house of timber windows, we take care to ensure every item arrives in excellent condition and ready for installation.

Installation

Where installation forms part of the project, our experienced team fits each product with the same attention to detail applied during manufacture. We check operation, alignment and finishing to ensure every window, door or other joinery item performs as intended and complements the property perfectly.

Quality at Every Stage

From the first site visit to the completed installation, our focus is on producing bespoke timber joinery that combines traditional craftsmanship with modern performance. Every project is manufactured with care, inspected throughout production and built to provide lasting quality for homes and businesses across Cornwall and Devon.
